On July 29, 1981, more than 750 million people tuned in to see the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana. The bride was only 20 years old at the time and wore a gown with over 10,000 pearls and a 25-foot train. Prince Charles was 32 and dressed in traditional military regalia. The ceremony became an international event and a cultural phenomenon.
